Easter Seals OntarioEaster Seals Ontario provides programs and services to children and youth with physical disabilities across Ontario to help them achieve greater independence, accessibility, and integration.

For the past 95 years, Easter Seals has played an important role in providing support for children and youth with physical disabilities. Thanks to their generous donors, they continue to offer programs that allow kids to experience freedom, independence and a sense of accomplishment. For families, Easter Seals is somewhere to turn for help when they need it.

Easter Seals is a registered charitable organization that helps children and youth with physical disabilities from all ethnic and religious backgrounds. They assist families with the purchase of costly mobility equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, porch lifts and ramps, as well as communication devices, toileting aids, and bathing equipment.

Easter Seals also helps by providing summer camp opportunities at their two properties, Camp Merrywood, and Camp Woodeden. Easter Seals also offers post-secondary scholarships and provides access to information and resources, and public education and awareness.

Easter Seals helps kids BE KIDS.

They offer many programs and resources, including:

  • Financial Assistance: They provide financial assistance of up to $3 000 per year, per child to help purchase essential mobility equipment such as wheelchair, walkers, ramps or lifts.
  • Summer Camp: They own and operate two fully accessible summer camps and offer children and youth 10-day summer camp experiences. Their camping programs give kids the opportunity to stay away from home and experience a wide range of fully accessible activities, such as a high ropes course, indoor climbing wall, sailing, kayaking, white-water rafting and so much more.
